Pokemon Snap N64

Pokémon Snap is fascinating, but before we get into talking about the game, let's get into some backstory. As fun as it is, it's not the game I thought it was when I asked for it for Christmas one year. The game I thought I was getting was Pokémon Stadium, which I discovered at an N64 kiosk at Circuit City. With that being said, as the huge Pokémon fan I was as a kid, I didn't complain too much as long as it was Pokémon related. With that being said, though, the style of game Pokémon Snap is, it's more of an on-rails first-person shooter, and my first of the genre, and I quickly learned I'm not a fan of first-person shooters. Not saying it's a bad game, because it's not, but I feel my enjoyment of this game was carried heavily by the Pokémon IP. What I liked most about it was you could get your in-game photos printed IRL at Blockbuster. It's possible I might like the remake of this game more, but as far as the original version is concerned, I tried playing it again at the end of 2024 (which will be uploaded at a later date), but I didn't finish it, and as of this moment, I have no intention of finishing it again.
